Welcome to the blog. This is a photo a day project I’ve shifted over from Tumblr. Once I’ve ported the blog over completely I’ll be deleting the Tumblr blog, but for the moment you can find the the original here. I found the Tumblr a bit clunky and limiting compared to WordPress.
The point of this waste of one’s and zero’s is pretty straightforward. I’ve finally bought myself a DSLR and to my small surprise I’m really enjoying taking photos with it. It’s criminal really, there should be laws against how much fun I’m having with my camera. I like taking all sorts of photos – landscape, street, people, abstractions, etc. To get in the habit of not letting my new found passion die a predictably premature death like most of my past interests I’ve set myself the challenge of taking a photo a day. Some days I won’t be feeling it, and the photos will suck. Other days inspiration will be coursing through my veins like some illicit narcotic. And they’ll suck anyway. Whatever the inspiration, the aim is to keep active, keep learning and keep critical and see what happens.
